Game Show

Note for Note

Note for Note

Note for Note is Family. Variety. Music. Game. Entertainment show.

The South African title, Noot vir Noot, literally means money notes, for music notes — with all prizes in cash.

In Noot vir Noot, all questions are based on the recognition and identification of melodies, titles, lyrics and general knowledge of the local and international music scene. Featuring four contestants, a star presenter, live band or DJ and surprise music superstar performance, the show runs across 13 rounds and there is a text/social media viewer participation element.

All music genres are represented on the show, from mainstream pop, R&B, hip-hop, cultural/traditional tones to golden oldies, tunes for the children as well as classical – making this a family show in the truest sense of the word. In between the laughter and light-hearted moments, the contestants battle to prove their musical expertise and be the one to take home the jackpot!

All that is required to take part is a good memory for music and a fun spirit. New games are introduced to contestants and viewers every season, allowing the show to stay fresh and entertaining all the time. Viewers at home can also play multiple choice games with music sourced from around the world.

The success of the show can be attributed to effective contestant casting, exciting content and viewer involvement through SMS competitions.
